A gentle tongue is a tree of life, but perverseness in it breaks the spirit.

Proverbs 15:4    

  The human tongue is a tree of life and I know that this is so true! The Lord has been speaking to me about my tongue.  It is so easy to speak evil. I am so glad that He is showing me the righteousness of God. I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. (2 Cor. 5:21)

  Most of my life I believed what people said about me; that I was stupid or whatever negative thing was said. It really does harm you to believe these things.  It does lead to death. Whether slow or fast it leads to death and not to life. The Lord has begun to talk to me about that scripture. Prov. 16:24 says, “Pleasant words are as a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and health to the bones.” I can say Amen to that! I have experienced a lot of health problems, and emotional problems, but God is healing me because I am holding on to His Word.
